Winning Atmosphere

Darrel Young Written by Darrel Young Saturday October 08 2011

This season is different from ones in the past as the atmosphere, the will to want to close out games, and the desire to work hard in practice every week has changed.

We have a team who is willing to compete from whistle to whistle and from start to finish.

Going into the bye week we are 3-1. The first quarter of the season we have seen what we need to do to improve as a team.

The best thing about the team this year is we all have the same goal and that is to win a championship together and have some fun along the way.

The St. Louis Rams were a team that was 0-3 before we played them, but they didn't play like a team who hasn't won any games. They are very well coached and have some great players along with players who know the game.

When the pressure was on the line, our defense stepped up to the challenge and sacked Rams quarterback Sam Bradford seven times. Our offense got a spark when running back Ryan Torain came in the game and rushed for 135 yards on 19 carries.

As for me, I haven't played in two games due to a hamstring injury, but will be back as soon as possible to help add to the fire that this team has.

I think that the whole team deserves an MVP for the first quarter of the season. I think offense, defense, and special teams have all played extremely well.

We will get better from here and that is the best thing.

I look forward to enjoying this bye week and coming back to play Philly on the 16th of October.

It will be a good one!
